Will Liverpool snatch Youri Tielemans?!

This rumour has been floating around since the end of the season, and it looks like the favourites to sign the man on fire is Liverpool…

Now, it’s not set in stone that he even wants to go, but it is also not set in stone that he wants to stay at Leicester. He came out a week into the Euros in a Belgium press conference, saying ‘I’m not thinking about it at the moment’ which is the best way of saying he’s keeping his options open for now, will he stay with us?!

Klopp has already snapped up CB Konate from RB Leipzig, but are now also in the market again looking to replace Midfielder Wijnaldum who joined PSG before the Euros kicked off…

The 24 year old has developed himself into one of the most complete midfielders in the league since joining us from Monaco back in 2019, and he has helped us push for a top 4 spot in the last 2 seasons.

Youri played a crucial role in Leicester’s FA Cup win after scoring a stunning winning goal in the final, bagging the one and only goal at Wembley last month during that match.

Since coming with us on loan back in 2019, Tielemans has scored 12 goals for us in 88 appearances in the league, becoming a very solid player, but his key features is his hold up play, creating chances and being a solid holding Midfielder, becoming a key player within Leicester’s side, why would we want to sell him?

“I really hope he doesn’t go, we are trying to be a top 4 side, so selling one of if not our best player of last season would be a massive blow and a step back. I hope we can keep hold of Youri, i hope he wants to stay with us, he would be a massive, massive loss to our squad, and it’s definitely going backwards if we’re fighting for the top spots. Hopefully he can see what we’re trying to build here as a club, and decides to stay with us!”
