Will Big Wes step in?!

After a very disappointing loss to 19th place Bournemouth, and seeing their second goal go in, Cags was left in anger, causing himself to get sent off during the match, and we will probably not see him for the rest of the season… And we asked you, the fans, who should step in at the back?

We are all wondering how we will now go and play Sheffield United, who and how will we play at the back?
Will you replace Soyuncu with Big Wes and still play with 3 Centre Backs and 2 Wing Backs…
Or will Big Wes come in to replace Bennett and we play 2 at the back instead…

We asked you, the fans, who and how we should play against Sheffield United, a massive match for us if we are trying to push for Champions League… And this is what you had to say!

Over 75% of you said that Big Wes should come into the team, and 24% of people said play Bennett, and a handful of people said that we should play both of them in a back three… How much will the side change? With the likes of Maddison, Chilwell and now Albrighton being out injured, what is our best options.

This is what you had to say about Wes or Bennett…

Kayleigh Thomas
Not being funny but after that I’d refuse to play Cags for a while totally ott behaviour which rightly so was a red card.
I personally wouldn’t know the answer to what would be best as I can’t exactly say our form has been super sharp since the return. Maybe Wes for the experience I guess. Maybe drag some young’uns out? I really have not a clue

Graham Betts
Why offer ‘wes’ an extra year if you don’t play him
I no he’s getting old for the prem …with Wes we have the play deep.

Paula Garner
Neither bring some in from development squad give them a run! Wes hasn’t got the speed, Bennet is hit and miss some good days some bad.

Ant Brewin
Tough one.. Big Wes for his presence but actually both in a back 3 could be interesting

Alan J Watson
For me its Wes . We need a leader and a bit of disciplined steel guiding the team . Its not over yet keep going and make us proud . Win or lose give it everything is all I ask

Peter Swann
All hands to the Pump yes pace is now going to be our biggest worry at the back but Strength with Wes Morgan can help plus good with the heading along side Evans. A BIG BUT Do not give a Penalty away Spurs & Man Utd will play for them make no Mistakes. YOUR LAST CHANCE OF GETTING OUT OF JAIL SO EVERYONE GIVE 150%. COME ON LEICESTER CITY. HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT YOU FOXES . FEARLESS GO GET IT.

Steven Newcombe
I think Bennett has had bad press. Played better than his fellow defender at Bournemouth and has been capable in other matches.

Jim van Crickski
If things couldn’t get any worse ! They just have both too slow !! We’re in trouble

Lee Lockwood
Bennett has filled a space don’t get me wrong but he ain’t Premier in my opinion..
I think Wes is at the end of his day but he knows what it is to battle it out at the end of a season…..

Nigel Doherty
Never been a big Wes fan, but ever we’ve needed a leader on the pitch, this is it.
Kasper has shown that he’s not up to the captaincy and should just focus on doing the simple thing right.

Conor Rogers
We need our captain now more than ever, might not be our best defender anymore but his leadership is needed desperately

Alex Morris
We need pace at the back especially against Man U, not sure where that will come from, the 3 with pace are all out
