Who Will Leave Leicester City Before Deadline Day?

Transfer Deadlines Day is coming to an end this Friday the 1st of September, and there is still a lot of players ready depart from the club. Do YOU know who is rumoured to go? Who already has a foot out of the door?

Players Gone:

James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Timothy Castagne and George Hirst have all left for a fee accumulating around £90 Million, with the likes of Tielemans, Soyuncu, Evans and a handful more moved on a free due to contracts ending.

So far, we have let some players go for decent money, but when the likes Tielemans and Perez who cost £70 Million leaving on a free, overall we’ve probably not made any money losing some high-costing players for free…

BUT, with these players gone, it has reduced the wage bill, and allowed young, fresh and ready to go players into the club wanting to put in 100% shifts for the badge, which is something we’ve lacked in the past 18 months… a breath of fresh air!

Players close/rumoured to leave:

Victor Kristensen is close to leaving Leicester City on loan to Italian side Bologna on a season long loan with an option to buy. He only signed for The Foxes back in January 2023, and is set to leave 7 months on… A bad signing or does he not fit Enzo-ball?

Wilfred Ndidi to Nottingham Forest. Yes you heard it, Ndidi to local rivals Forest who are looking to add depth in their 2nd season in the Premier League. Rumoured fee for around £10-15 Million for the Nigerian footballer who has been playing as a CAM in the begging of Leicester’s Championship season, but not a regular feature in matches.

Luke Thomas to Leeds United. Thomas has been given the green-light to go out on loan, but is it the best option from Leicester’s point of view to loan him out to Leeds who got relegated with us? Who will be in with a shout for competing with us for promotion first time around?

Soumare on loan. Both Sevilla and Fernabache are rumoured to want the French Ligue 1 winner after a poor 2 seasons at Leicester. A smart move from The Foxes to let him go out to reduce the wage bill and clear up a spot in the senior squad?

Daka to… Who knows! There has been some strong links with Daka to go to Bournemouth, Roma and now favourites are newly promoted Burnley are interested in signing the Zambian Striker who never hit the ground running at Leicester.

Iheanacho to Wolves. One of the players i think most fans would be desperate to keep for our upcoming season in the Championship. With Vardy not on top form and Daka rumoured to leave, Leicester are trying to keep Kel, but never say never… Lets hope he stays with us!

Harry Souttar to Rangers in the Scottish League. The Australian Centre-Back, who was also signed in January 2023, is looking for a move this window as he is clearly not in Enzo’s plans, not even on the bench. Another bit of bad business from Leicester to sign Souttar for £15 Million to let him go for rumoured £10 Million only 7 months later?

Well, what a busy few days it will be, it has been quiet for a while with players leaving, but in the final week it is all happening! Lets hope these players leave if they’re not apart of our team, but lets also hope we can keep the players we need for a long, drooling season ahead!
