Who Will Be Our New Manager?!
So, Brendan Rodgers has officially been sacked by Leicester City. A lot of fans have been calling for his time to be done at head manager for a while now, some even spanding back to over a year ago.
The Leicester City board has come out and said “we really wanted it to work with Rodgers long term, but short term comes first and we need to remain in the Premier League this season” as to their decision to sack Brendan with only 10 matches left in the 22/23 season.
We have seen a steady decline for at least 12 months now, with last season being a scrappy season but we managed to pull 8th out of the bag amongst a poor set of teams, but this season as of right now (before the Aston Villa Match on Tuesday the 4th of April) Leicester are sitting 19th place, 2nd bottom after West Ham got a 1-0 win over bottom of the league Southampton.
The time for action has finally come, but is it too late into the season? Can we still get out of the bottom 3 before the season ends? And, obviously, one BIG question all Leicester fans are thinking right now is… WHO comes in to replace Brendan Rodgers?!
The timing is impeccable that Rodgers and Graham Potter from Chelsea got sacked hours apart from each other, do YOU think he could be a decent replacement?
There is a lot of names being thrown out there, Potter, Poch, Rafa Benitez an endless list of potential new managers… This is what the fans had to say…
“In my opinion, I would stick with adam sadler for the last 10 games. I don’t want to bring someone in who is known for relegation battle. as I want us to look forward to getting someone long term in the summer. As I want us to progress instead of going backwards. So for me Id look at someone like Poch or Nagelsmann. Maybe potter but unsure how well he will do!” – Reedy
“For me I would like to see someone come in for short term. Whoever it is they need to know how to get the best out of these players. It will be hard for Leicester to bring in someone with quality without offering them a long deal contract, but whoever we bring in we should offer them the remaining 10 games and a bonus for keeping us up, then we see where to go from there in the summer, whether that is signing that manager on a long term deal or moving onto a more permanent role in the team, but in any case we should not offer a big contract as there is still a chance we can get relegated this season” – Sam
