WE WON THE FA CUP!!!
The Belgian settled a closely contested encounter with a spectacular right foot drive that flew beyond chelsea goalkeeper Kepa into the top corner from 25 yards in the 63rd minute.
It sent our manager Rodgers racing down the touchline in celebration although Leicester fans – inside Wembley as 21,000 supporters formed the biggest attendance since lockdown, we had to survive a nerve-jangling closing phase before we could celebrate the win in our first FA Cup Final since 1969!
Kasper made 3 crucial saves, who turned former Leicester defender Ben Chilwell’s header onto the post then produced an even better stop to turn Mount’s powerful shot wide!
Within the final acts of drama, Morgan bundled into his own net following a last minute goalmouth scramble that went down as Chilwell’s goal, before VAR ruled it out and outroar from the foxes fans as they knew it might be history in the making, and boy was it!
Leicester closed out the win to spark emotional scenes as those inside Wembley rejoiced in a landmark victory.
This is what Leicester Fan Tv’s Sam had to say about the match, as he went down to Wembley with a bunch of the crew from Leicester Fan Tv!
“From start to finish it was one of the best experience’s in my Leicester career so far. Nothing can top winning the Premier League, that will forever and always be the best LCFC experience, but this is a close second! After being in a lockdown on and off for 15 Months now, and Football being on a stop for some of that, for it to come back but without fans, it was very strange to go back, but the second i walked into the ground it felt spectacular, for the first match back to be at Wembley was phenomenal!
When the first ball was kicked the fans were singing from minute 1 to minute 90, and it was fantastic, on the Leicester side anyway, Chelsea fans were quiet and we could barely hear them.
We didn’t car about that though, the second we kicked-off it was all about us and nothing else, and when Youri bagged that goal we thought our dreams might come true, and 30 minutes later it did… just!
With Chilwell’s goals being disallowed, and watching his emotionless face after the realisation that his goal wont stand, it made us think we might do it! When the goal went in and we saw Chilwell scored it, was all said “It’s going to be one of those days, a former Fox makes it go to extra time in the last minute and we just brought on defenders, we might not win this” but when it got pulled back, we all said “It’s going to happen!!!”
