Leicester City v Chelsea - Is the match on TV? Live stream details and team news - Leicestershire Live
Can we win tonight?!

Tonight is a big match for us, as we face Chelsea in Premier League action. Chelsea are considered one of the ‘Top 6’ in the Premier League, so tonight is a big test for the Foxes as we could pick up some points against a average Chelsea side… Oh, and if we win, we can go top of the league tonight! Yes, we might have played one more match than Man United and 3 more than Man City, but if we do it is safe to say we are challenging for the league again! Can we do it?!

We have played Chelsea a total of 28 times in the Premier League, winning only 5 of those matches, drawing 9 and losing 14. Hopefully we can add to the win tally tonight!
With this said, in the last 5 meetings against Chelsea, we have not lost! We have drawn 4 of those matches, and we won 1 match back in 2018 as an early 2nd half goal from Vardy assisted by Maddison gave us all 3 points!

Both teams last 5 matches:

Leicester – won 3, drawn 2, lost 0
Chelsea – won 2, drawn 1, lost 2

Going into this match, we are in a lot better form! Let’s carry this on please tonight lads!

Team news

Mendy is the only fresh injury for Rodger’s Leicester side at the moment, as Riccy P is available again, and looking to work his way back into the 1st team, with Praet being the only long term absentee at the moment from his pulled hamstring the other day.

N’Golo Kante completed his one-match ban, but he has been ruled out to play against his former club tonight with a hamstring injury, so we will not see the forme Fox make an appearance tonight…

Did you know?

Leicester manager Rodgers has beaten 33 of the 34 Premier League side’s he has faced, with the only exception being Chelsea… He is winless in the last 11 meetings v The Blues (D7, L4)

The Foxes are unbeaten in their last five PL matches against Chelsea, drawing four of those.

Chelsea have lost just one of their last eight PL matches at Leicester (W5 D2), with their only defeat in that spell coming back in 2015.

In their first nine PL matches, Chelsea scored 22 goals and had an expected goals (xG) total of 13.4, scoring roughly nine goals more than expected based on their chances. But in their subsequent nine, they’ve scored 11 goals from an xG total of 15.7, around four goals fewer than expected.
