Leicester City: Things to know about transfer target Otavio of Porto
Will he join Leicester?!

Rumour has it that we are considering signing a new Centre Attacking Midfielder this January, do we need a new one?!

We are linked with Porto’s Otávio Monteiro. The Brazilian is 25 years old, and started his senior career at Internacional, making 39 appearances and scoring 6 goals for them.
He then signed for Porto’s B team back when he was just 18 years old, hoping to work his way into Porto’s A team, and within the year he got his move to Porto’s senior squad!
From this though, he didn’t make many appearances to begin with, so he got a loan move to Vitória Guimarães for 1 season, and then back in 2016 he made his move back to Porto, and has been a very consistent player for them!
He has made 105 appearance’s for Porto, scoring 10 goals for the Portuguese side…

He seems like a half decent player, a good addition to the squad as a rotation player, especially as we are coming back into Europa League Football soon, playing in the FA Cup and the Premier League, so maybe he will be a good addition to this Leicester side…!

This is what Leicester Fan Tv’s Sam had to say about Otavio potentially joining Leicester…
“He seems like a half decent player, and he would be a good rotation player. It might seem like a strange signing to a lot of people, but if you think about it logically it makes sense. Perez looks like he has been moved to a striker role in the club, replacing Vardy for when he gets injured (like now). And with Praet out and Tielemans finding his feet as a more holding Midfielder, leaving us with only Maddison to play as our CAM. If we sign him it makes a lot of sense to me, as this is the kind of position we are weak in…”

Watch some of his highlights down below here, maybe Leicester should put a bid in for him… But how much is he worth?!
