Transfer Rumour – Wigan Striker Joe Gelhardt!

Joe Gelhardt is a new, young Striker playing for Wigan at the moment, developing himself through the youth squad!

One reason he is on our radar is because of his Under 18 England record. Scoring 4 goals in 6 games and being very consistent is Wigan’s development squad has caught interest from Leicester!

Once again, we are not the only club interested in signing him, Liverpool and Everton are also interested in signing him!

The youngster is originally from Liverpool, so it is probably a dream to play for Liverpool or Everton, especially with the form he is on at the moment, but would he get more time in our squad?

We have seen Rodgers develop our youngsters into better players, so maybe this could tempt him to join us instead of one of the scouser squads…

“I would take him, a youngster with a lot of promise is a good addition to our development squad. He would also feature a lot more in our team as we like to give young talent a chance, and he might be doing barely anything at Liverpool, so long term it would be a good addition to our squad.”
