Stan Collymore at Leicester!
Stan Collymore was one of the best players Leicester had in the day, and after we got lucky to sign him. He was an East Midlands Legend, playing not only for your very own Leicester, but he also played for Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and doing pretty well there as well!
He came to us from Villa, with a below average goal conversion rate, playing 46 games and only scoring 7, which was a massive downgrade for him as he went from Liverpool on a 64 games to 28 goals record!
When we signed him, we were all delighted to see him play in a Leicester shirt, and in his 11 games he scored 5 goals, which was good and he was looking to have a decent careers with the foxes, but he unfortunately got his career ended shortly by twisting his leg and breaking it…
After that he left us and only made 10 more appearances for Bradford and Real Oviedo, and after that he called it quits and retired from professional football.
He was on an overall good record though, and had a good Football career, making 252 appearances and 99 goals from 1990-2001!
This is what you the fans had to say about him and his time at Leicester…!
