WELCOME TO LEICESTER – RYAN BERTRAND

The rumours look like 31 year old Ryan Bertrand is set to sign for Leicester City on a two year deal.

Bertrand is a tried and tested left back, and would add some good depth to the Leicester City squad following the departures last season of around 10-12 squad players.

With City fighting in Euorpe as well as domsetic cups, the feeling from most Leicester City fans is that he is a great addition to the squad…. just how many first team starting places he will make could well be limited, but he certainly has the pedigree to be around our squad.

Add to that he comes as a FREE agent, and if he performs half as well as Marc Albrighton who famously came on a FREE from Villa, we could have bagged ourselves another bargain.

Bertrand’s track record is pretty decent, having played at the Saints since 2015 and making 192 appearances with 5 goals to his name in that period. He previously has also played for Chelsea from 2006-15 although only making 28 apps for them, but was on loan during the same period to quite a few teams including Norwich, Forest and Villa before landing at the Saints.
