Rodgers Is STILL in Charge?!?!
Leicester City Vs Aston Villa preview – by Ethan Farmer
Following four defeats in a row, Leicester still look to get their first win of the season. One point out of a possible 15 leaves Brendan Rodgers’ job on the line every week.
Thankfully for Rodgers, he comes up against Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa. The Villains are also struggling, having only four points this season meaning if Leicester win they can leapfrog Villa.
The two managers have some history as Gerrard’s last manager at Liverpool was in fact Rodgers but now, they are going head-to-head as both managers want to get away from the drop. But the Northern Irishman has more on the line as his side are yet to get a win and are currently at the bottom of the table.
Last Sunday the Foxes got mauled by the Seagulls losing 5-2 in a disaster-class. Despite scoring in the first minute, Leicester fell apart in the second half, conceding three without reply. Similar to the season opener when they threw away a 2-0 lead to Brentford, Leicester clearly lack structure and the correct mindset to finish a game off. Or does there have to be a managerial change? Or does Rodgers have to change the system and make some gambles in the starting line-up?
