Our first Europa League match! Zorya Luhansk!

This week, on Thursday, we are playing Zorya Luhansk in our first Group Stage match in our 2020/21 Europa League campaign!

We’re playing Zorya Luhansk as our opening fixture, and here are some facts about them and their club…!

FC Zorya Luhansk, formerly known as Zaria Voroshilovgrad and Zorya-MALS, is a Ukrainian football team. Zorya Luhansk is based in the city of Luhansk, Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine. 
The modern club was created on 10 April 1964 by the Football Federation of the Soviet Union merging the October Revolution factory (Luhanskteplovoz) sports club Zorya and the Luhansk regional branch of the “Trudovye Rezervy” sports society.

at this moment in time, they are sitting in 9th place in a 14 team league, so they are not off to the best of starts, with 1 win, 3 draws and 1 loss, sitting on 6 points.

We have lost 2 of our opening 5 matches, winning the other three, so both clubs are sitting on a decent form, but it could go either way on Thursday…
