Mendy – Keep or Sell

The 27 year old signed for us back in 2016. We almost signed him the season we won the Premier League, but we saw potential in Kante, another player playing in low division French Football, and he turned out to be amazing.

When we signed Mendy, we all thought he would become a super star at Leicester, but his time has not proven so. In his 40 appearances he has made for us, he has been injured and not as consistent as the likes of Ndidi, who is one of the Premier League’s best Central Defensive Midfielders.

We asked you, the fans, what to do with Mendy, this season when he has played he has looked a very decent player, but do we need him? This is what you had to say about him…!

Keep him he looked really accomplished when playing prior to the stoppage and if we get into the Champions League we will need a big squad. Problem is though keeping everyone happy. At his stage in his career he will want to play.

Good player. You need solid pros to be squad players. He generally makes a good job when called upon.

I think Mendy and Jakupovic are out of contract at the end of the season. I wouldn’t keep them. Others to make room for new signings……. Amartey, Gray, James and Praet (He’s not been that good).

If we want to cement our place in the prem and take on Europe’s elite then we need better class players I’m afraid
