Matty James – Keep or Sell?!
He started his career at Manchester United, unfortunately not making any appearance’s but getting loan spells in and out around different clubs.
Eventually, Leicester decided to make a bid on him back in 2012, and he turned out to be a decent player!
Unfortunatley for him, he got knock after knock, and some big ones in the past couple of years that put him out for a numours amount of time….
The question is though, do we keep or sell him? a lot of mixed comments on him but this is what you guys had to say…!
Darren Smith
If he can stay fit he would be a good squad player
Frankie Wightman
before his injury he was getting in the team ahead of Drinkwater. Compared to some of the crap we’ve signed he’s a safe pair of hands IF he can stay fit.
A top 4 side needs depth no-one is saying he’s first team. But earlier this season when Ndidi was injured and Choudhury suspended he’d be ideal to fill a hole for a game. It’s all well and good saying we need someone better who would be happy coming to us and knowing they’ll be a bit part player at best that’s better than James?
Colin Bourne
The person who gave sick note Matty James a three year contract extension needs sacking. If this was a business deal, they would have been. He’s been ‘earning’ God knows what for years whilst literally playing in a handful of games.
And yet some plonkers would extend it further!
The mind boggles..
Andy Bassett
If we were in the championship I’d say keep him BUT we’re not, so sell or offload on a free .. no where near the quality we need !
Ross Elsby
Sell him…..who would buy him hes useless. Best can hope for is he gets a loan somewhere. Even when he’s fit he’s no good.
Allan Steel
All round game is good, but too many injuries, and terrible in front of goal. Couldnt hit a barn door from 5 yards. I like his reading of the game, but it’s a sell, we need high level consistancy
Luke Maitland
Sell IMO, can’t see him breaking back into the 1st team and we’ve got enough backup CM’s for cup ties etc
Chris Evans
Sell. Constantly injured and won’t ever get back to his best. Sell him while we can still get something for him
Lee Fox
Think he will stay been coaching the kids and Rodgers likes him clever player just shame about the injuries
Paul Scarborough
Never particularly good in the first place add the injuries he picks up at the drop of a hat. Get rid pronto if anyone will have him
Zander Toxsikk
Atton Sell him. He should want to play football. And to get game time he needs a switch
Tom Clifton
No, he’s no where near good enough, wouldn’t get into a cup team anymore
Nuhu Seidu Boresa
Coaching the kids Keep him
Craig Rowley
Not good enough at this level
Kurt Armstrong
Sell Will never get into the team
If we where to sell him, how much is her worth? Which club would want him? is he good enough to play for another Premier League club?
