Man United want Soyuncu!

With the window coming to an end within the next few weeks, it looks like Manchester United are pursuing Cags again!
At the start of the season, they wanted to buy him to partner as a CB with former Leicester player Maguire, and now at the end of the transfer window, they want to sign him again!

Reports say that Man U are ‘very interested’ in signing Soyuncu, but if Maguire is worth £80 Million, how much is Cags worth, surly more than that right?!

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not satisfied with his current options, though, with the club linked to a left-back and rumours that he wants a new partner for Maguire.
Victor Lindelof is the preferred choice with Eric Bailly constantly struggling with injury problems. Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling have all been allowed to leave, but still remain at Old Trafford for the time being.
Tony Cascarino joined talkSPORT Breakfast on Wednesday and said Man United should sign Caglar Soyuncu, who has been a standout star for Leicester since Maguire left.
He said: “You’re talking about a centre-half, I think they should go back to Leicester and get the boy Soyuncu. He’s really quick. He’d sit alongside Maguire brilliantly.
“You talk about (Jadon) Sancho, that would to me I’d go straight away ‘if we spend big, we spend big on that position and that player’.”
United are said to have had a £91.3million offer for Sancho rejected. Borussia Dortmund are believed to want nearer the £100million figure.

If they have some money to spend, will we put a hefty price tag on Cags or keep?

“We should not sell him at all. This season could be a big one, and losing Chilwell was disappointing but not a major loss. If Cags went that would be a big loss for us, he is our best Centre Back, and that is a statement and a half with Evans because he is also very good, so if we want to have a good season we need to keep players like Soyuncu, regardless of the price…”

“This would be madness to sell Cags now at this stage. Yes he was one of the best, and most surprising CB’s last season, and looks like this season will carry that on, but if we do want to challenge again for a top 4 finish, and it does already look like that, then we simply must not sell our best players to our rivals. It seems strange to call Man U our rivals, but that’s what they are now. We have just sold Chilwell to another rival – Chelsea, and although we are all very excited by Castagne , we still need to build a team rather than sell the best assets all the time. Fofana who we are signing is a young talent, but at 19, we are spending big, and with Benkovic looking like we will sell him, it proves that not all our purchases work out. So Cags is now proven at this level, and with Evans we have a great CB pair, one we need to keep. IN honesty I think this is just the media stirring the pot, I don’t believe Cags will leave us now, maybe ask me again next summer !”
