Maddison To Go To Spurs?!

It’s no surprise this late on into pre season that the club is struggling to sell players and refuse to bring in any new players until we get rid of a handful of players, but who are those select players that are going?!

Reports have come out that we are looking at releasing the like of Tielemans, Castagne, Nacho and one of our biggest stars of last season, if not the biggest, James Maddison… But to Spurs?!

Why would we sell our key player to what we would consider our rivals in the league?!

Stats and facts about Maddison

Maddison played 52 games in all competitions last season, he scored 18 goals and got 12 assists, which is amazing stats for a Midfielder. He was our best player last season by a mile, and smoke comes with fire, loads of clubs are in the running to sign him, and it looks like Spurs are rumoured to be at the front line to sign our key man.

He is a 25 year old Englishman, who has not made the England squad once again, even though he is the highest G+A rate for any English Midfielder last season… Southgate is obviously wrong and bigheaded for not picking him, but if he moved to one of the so called ‘big six’ will that help him make the England side?

“It will be a real shame to see him go on many accounts. The first, he is our stand out player and has been all season. Secondly, we have brought in no new players, so we shouldn’t be selling our key players.
