This weekend, the blues host Burnley on the back of 3 games without a win. With a 2-1 loss to current high-flyers Brighton on Sunday, how will the Foxes fare against Burnley, who are yet to record a win so far this season.

Leicester looks ahead to a fixture in which they normally come away with the lion’s share, with 3 wins in the last 5 fixtures between the two sides, with Burnley taking just one win. Leicester know they need a win, and will feel that this may be the fixture to kickstart a bit of form again.

ONES TO WATCH

  • Jamie Vardy vs James Tarkowski
  • Harvey Barnes vs Matthew Lowton
  • Chris Wood’s physical presence is one to look out for against this, thus far, shaky Leicester defence.

TEAM NEWS

There are no major injury worries for Burnley heading into this weekend with the only players set to miss out being Dale Stephens, Kevin Long, Connor Roberts.

Leicester head into the game with a number of issues, where they will still be without winger Ayoze Perez due to suspension. Papy Mendy is expected back in training soon however, as we know, Justin and Fofana remain out injured for the long term.

HEAD-TO-HEAD STATISTICS

In our last game against Burnley, we came away with a 1-1 draw. Let’s take a deeper look at some interesting statistics from our previous encounters:

  • In the last 5 encounters, there have been 3 Leicester wins compared to Burnley’s one, with the honours being shared just once.
  • Having scored a total of 19 goals in their last 14 matches, The Foxes averages 1.36 goals per game.
  • Burnley FC average 1 goals per 90 minutes over their last 14 matches, having found the back of the net a total of 14 times from such encounters.
  • Burnley come to the King Power in attempt to try and win their first game there since 10th November 2007.

Personally, I can see this game being Leicester 1-0 Burnley. I think Leicester can cause too many problems on the attack for this Burnley defence. I think the link up play between Barnes will prove too much to handle with either Vardy on the end of it. In addition, I don’t think Burnley have enough fire power to cause this Leicester side too many problems, with only 3 goals within their first 5 games.
