Leicester City v Manchester City: Player ratings as Daniel Amartey impresses

We are looking at our line up statistics against Wolverhampton Wanderers as we face them in a new campaign in the 2021/22 Premier League season, looking to get a first win of the season… can we do it?! come and check out some statistics and pre-match thoughts down below here before we face them later on!

Did you know?

Leicester have lost just 1 of our last 24 heom league matches against Wolves (W14 D9) suffering a 4-1 defeat back in may 2007 in the Championship…

Jamie Vardy has scored 6 goals in 6 Premier League appearances in Leicester’s opening match of the season, the joint-most with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah of any other current PL player within Matchweek 1.

Wolves are unbeaten in their last eight opening league matches since losing to Leeds United in 2012/13 in the Championship (W4 D4).

Since Wolves’ return to the Premier League in 2018, they have failed to score in five of their six meetings with Leicester (W1 D3 L2), with the exception being a 4-3 home win in January 2019.

We have played Wolves a total of 8 times in the Premier League, winning only 2 matches, losing 2 and drawing 4, a very even score line over time in recent years against Wolves… can we change that this weekend?!

within the last 5 PL matches of meeting Wolverhampton, we have drawn 3 of them a boring 0-0 scoreline, winning one of those matches 1-0 and losing the other 4-3 away… Hopefully we can have a thriller of an opening match and bag plenty of goals to begin the campaign with!

This is what Leicester Fan Tv’s Sam had to say before we play Wolves…!
“I think we can go out there and smash them, a good win to the opening match of the season would give us massive boost of confidence, and i can imagine we are going into the match on a high after beating Man City in the Community Shield. Hopefully with the home crowd behind the lads we can get out there and put on a good show, considering this is the first full match back at the King Power in the Premier League, we should all go out there chanting out heart out!”

What do you think the score prediction will be?
