For the first time since late December, Leicester City are back in league action. Due to matches against Everton and Burnley being postponed due to coronavirus cases, the Foxes last match was their 1-0 win over Liverpool. However, Brendan Rodgers’ side have played an FA Cup match since then which saw them defeat the Hornets and their former manager Claudio Ranieri 4-1.

The East Midlands side come up against Antonio Conte’s Spurs who are unbeaten in the league since the Italian took charge at the start of November. But they lost both semi-final legs against Chelsea this month so have clear weaknesses that Leicester’s forwards can exploit.

But they have a very thin squad. Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Daniel Amartey and Nampalys Mendy are all at the Africa Cup of Nations. Then there is also Jamie Vardy, Jonny Evans, Ricardo Pereira, Ryan Bertrand and Wesley Fofana are all injured whilst Timothy Castagne and Boubakary Soumare are doubts.

It’s a big game for both sides as they want to qualify for Europe. They’ve both played 18 games so have at least two games in hand on the teams around them. Tottenham sit in sixth, eight points ahead of 10th-placed Leicester. If the Foxes win, they won’t move up a place but if Spurs win they can overtake their North London rivals Arsenal.

Predicted line-ups:

Goalkeeper – Kasper Schmeichel

Right-Back – Marc Albrighton

Centre-Back – Calgar Söyüncü

Centre-Back – Jannik Vestergaard

Left-Back – Luke Thomas

Defensive Midfielder – Youri Tielemans

Defensive Midfielder – Hamza Choudhury

Right Midfielder – Ademola Lookman

Attacking Midfielder – Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Left Midfielder – Harvey Barnes

Striker – Patson Daka
