Keep Or Sell Slimani ?

When Slimani came to Leicester he played pritty well in that champions league game at home scoring two goals. most Leicester fans thought he would become a really good player, but it has not planned out that way…..

This season we shipped him out on a season long loan and now that he is back with Leicester, should be keep him or sell him?

Rodgers has said he is keep on Nacho becoming a Better player with us and Slim wants to go back to his old club so by the looks of it we might sell him back to his old club for a few quid.

All of us from 1005 LCFC have mixed views on him and would like him to stay but think that he might be a risk to just have him and Nacho rather than a new striker.
Would you take Rondon or Mitrovic over him ?

Slimani I would be willing to see given another chance. If he wants to stay and is up for it I do believe he will re-discover his form under Rodgers management as you don’t become a bad player overnight. As for Iheanacho he has to go, yes limited chances but when given them has looked disinterested and offers little. Slimani would offer that target man option, a plan B, only think with Slimani is he and Vardy never struck up an understanding previously when playing together.

Slimani played like Silva under crap managers who made it hard to fit into a style that didn’t exist. Mendy took Silva’s place now Mendy can’t get a game and Silva has saved Monaco. Slimani will never dislodge Vardy but he has looked good sometimes alongside him. Its not about giving them another chance they never had a chance. Let them train take it from there a fresh start.

Let’s see what Rodgers and his coaches think. We aren’t going to get much money for him based on last 2 year’s performances which have invalidated the work he did at Sporting to get us to pay out that record fee, so either need to cut losses or hope someone can bring him back. If Rodgers can then I’d love it. Bearing in mind the other strikers being mentioned are “Target men” like Mitrovic and Rondon who are also likely to be expensive, I’d love it if we could turn Slim round and get him playing, maybe with Sturridge on a free to push Vardy and then ideally Bowen from Hull to continue the trend of young English talent being developed!

Nope, he had a few really good games when he first came to us.. But after that he had 2 left feet for the games I saw him play.

Time has run out for Slimani and Iheanacho. If the club has ambitions to challenge for a top six or better finish in the premiership, a player with qualities to compete with Vardy for the main attacker is a must.

I actually think Rodgers (if he wants him) could get a lot more out of him. He showed in glimpses that he had quality, but far too lazy for most of his performances. If anyone can get him to play well it’s Rodgers.

Controversial but I do not think he has had a real chance. I doubt he has played more then 4 games on the spin. Any player you ask will say you need a run of games to find form. Assuming he has a good pre season I still see a future for him and I think Rogers does too.

To be fair he came to City when we were on a bit of a downward spiral after winning the Prem and in a counter-attacking system that just didn’t suit him. Rogers should take another look at him……plus he is better than Nacho!!
