It’s Hamza Time!
Ndidi has undergone a knee operation, which will see him out for up to 4 weeks. This is the time for Hamza, a local Leicester lad to step up and show his worthiness with some game time.
Rodgers has already come out and admited that it was a mistake that Hamza wasn’t picked to start in the Villa semi final game… and we have some comments on that too.
Hamza, a player who isn’t afraid of a tackle, is warming up to the LCFC fan, and now is his time to play and get some good game time in with some vital games coming up.
We asked you, the fans, to give us your comments in and see what you think about Hamza. Here is what you said…
Adam Nuttall: ‘ Yes definitely and it’s been quite noticeable that since Rodgers has been working with him his passing has improved massively and he takes more risks he’s always had great energy and been brilliant at getting the ball back he has a great opportunity in the coming weeks. ‘
Peter Shelly: ‘ I’ve said this loads of time’s already. Hamza is a beast!!!!!!!! ‘
Nathan Cunningham: ‘ Unfortunately he has to play, but Praet has to play too because neither are Ndidi quality. Southampton pose more of a threat now. ‘
Matthew Fox: ‘ I agree but he definitely needs to calm down abit the tackles he did last night was old fashion sliding tackles but if he misses one they can be a straight red with VAR now days ‘
Martin Peyton: ‘ Start him against Saints definitely. ‘
Alison Gokul: ‘ Young guy with old school tecnics… bring it on Hamza ‘
Matt Page: ‘ Prone to bookings though if he can keep a lid on it ‘
Dave Jay: ‘ I’ve said it before. Hamza is Boss! ‘
Andrew Turlington: ‘ Hamza adds some real bite into the midfield ‘
Adam Marlow: ‘ Think he got very lucky the ref blew the final whistle when he did with that reckless challenge, if he can contain that he has a great career ahead of him ‘
Darryl Elliott: ‘ Thing is hamza should be our go to player when ndidi isn’t fit, he’s perfect for the role has a good footballing brain and loves a tackle inst afraid of anyone. So hamza should have 100% started that game no questions asked. ‘
Darren Elsom: ‘ When Ndidi fit I’d like to see him play alongside Hamza against the top teams. Woukd add solidity in my opinion ‘
Paul Holland: ‘ Well at least he’s admitted to possibly costing us a trip to Wembley! ‘
Ricky Blampied: ‘ Hope he can sort it out before the 2nd leg, let’s be positive, we’re going to Wembley ‘
Maximillion C Panek: ‘ mistakes are made and will make Leicester stronger, we didn’t lose the game, we will be ready for the second leg ‘
Mel Plummer: ‘ At least he’s man enough to admit it, onwards and upwards Brendon, Southampton next, so let’s see you get it right then ‘
Martin Cattell: ‘ Totally agree, well said Brendan. ‘
Matt Whelband: ‘ Good that he admits and learnt from it. ‘
