It ends all square against Everton!
James Rodriguez scored a superb goal for The Toffees before Tielemans rescued a point for Leicester City in a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.
After Barnes and Maddison had gone close for the visitors, it was Everton that took the lead within the first half…
Rodriguez’s initial cross deflected back into his path off Fofanas’ leg, allowing the Colombian to set himself before curling a superb strike in off the inside of the right post…
The Foxes deservedly leveled on the 67th minute mark when a low shot from Tielemans was scrambled by Pickford and ended up finding the back of the net.
Pickford then denied Maddison before Calvert-Lewin sent a header just past the post as neither side could find a late winner, and the match ended as a stalemate with both teams picking up 1 point!
Everton drop to seventh on 33 points, while Leicester stay third on 39 points.
It’s very close from 1st place to 7th place at the moment, this season is definitely one to remember, so far!
Leicester will face Leeds in their next match, coming off an away win to Newcastle.
And Everton face Newcastle in their next fixture…
This is what Leicester Fan Tv’s Sam had to say about last night’s match against The Toffees…
“I thought it was a good match, and it was a shame we didn’t come away with all 3 points! We outplayed them in most aspect for the majority of the match, but the 20 minutes we switched off in that first half lead to Everton getting the opening goal. Unlike last season though, we came out in the second half and turned it up, scoring a goal and coming away with 1 point! This is the kind of stuff we need to do against Everton’s and West Ham’s this season… Now we move onto Leeds at the weekend, and we need to continue good form and pick up all 3 points against a good Leeds side, but one that we should really win!”
