Is Rodger’s Good Enough For Us?!
Arsenal vs Leicester preview – By Ethan Farmer
The Foxes look to get back on track following a disappointing opening day.
Last weekend Leicester City threw away a 2-0 lead at home to Brentford to draw 2-2. This along with a quiet summer which has seen no incomings and captain Kasper Schmeichel depart the club, has got fans feeling very pessimistic about the season. To go with this, there are no strong rumours of anyone coming in but in fact more leaving with key players like Wesley Fofana, Youri Tielemans, James Maddison and Harvey Barnes all linked with moves. A trip to the Emirates is not what is needed.
Last season the Gunners won this fixture with a comfortable 2-0 win. In the opening match of the new Premier League season, they again had a dominant 2-0 victory, this time at Crystal Palace. It is all pointing towards a bad weekend for the Leicester faithful.
However, some hope could come with their previous results against the ‘top 6’. Leicester have been able to pull out some good results again the bigger clubs in previous years such as their 5-2 win at the Etihad and more recently, a 4-2 win over Man United. But if this is to happen, Brendan Rodgers needs to find his form that saw him guide the club to consecutive fifth placed finishes.
