Is Jamie Vardy the greatest ever Leicester player!
Jamie Vardy has been with Leicester for 8 years, and he joined us back in 2012 from Fleetwood Town. And he has been an amazing and wild trip with him!
Against Palace, Vardy scored his 100th goal in the Premier League, joining an Elite squad of players amongst some of the greats like Henry, Sheerer, Rooney and Aguero!
He is the second oldest player to get 100 Premier League goals, starting his career in the top flight at the age of 27, just a year behind Ian Wright, who was also a England Legend!
We asked you, the fans, if he is the best player in a Leicester shirt. Not the best player you have seen, or the most skilful player, but the BEST PLAYER in a LCFC shirt…. Period!
This is what you had to say about him!
Liam Sharon
Molloy I think Vardy is better for us than Linekar was, we have had some great players in the past but i can’t think of any other player that compares to Vardy.
Paul Wickes
Liam Sharon Molloy I always said that Lineker was our best goalscorer but have changed my mind as Vardy keeps on doing it and has been great for us for a longer time.
Matt Gill
vardy has been scoring approx 20 goals a season for leicester and most of those seasons we’ve been mid table…. those numbers are top class and his finishing to chance ratio is ridiculously good
Ricky Blampied
I would’nt class him as World Class but one of the best strikers in the history of Leicester City FC.
Nick Halpine
Ridiculous question…He’s definately up there, but I wouldn’t say he’s the greatest. To me that’s disrespecting the likes of Shilton, Banks, Weller, Worthington, Walsh, Elliott, Izzett and more. They’re all greats
David Chapman
Legend of this generation. Deserves a spot in our all time startimg 11.
Danny Raverbaby Martin
206 premier league games with 101 premier league goals, that says it all really.
Leicester City legend
Tardio Andres
Can’t afford to ever loose Vardy ! He’s up there that’s for sure
Jeff ‘Jethro’ Woodward
Lets Not carried away and forget some other Great players who wore the Blue shirt. Chandler, Shilton, Weller, Worthington,Rowley, Sepp Smith. Yes Vardy is a legend. But so were others!
Ian Shipman
His loyalty speaks as loud as his goals, could have left us for Arsenal and more money, but repaid our faith in him, he is a dying breed if loyal footballers, and will definitely be known as one of our greatest for those reasons, few more years left in him, i hope when he retires that he stays with Leicester in some capacity. Surprised Steve Walsh has not got a mention though.
Darryl Elliott
It’s the modern game playing against much better opposition in a team that’s been differing highs and lows. He’s definitely proved himself to be the best. A proper Leicester legend who stayed loyal.
Michael Midge
Arlow Modern day masterpiece. He’ll go down in Leicester folklore as one of our greatest.
Matthew Gregory Medler
In terms of his story to get to the top, winning the premier league, the amount of goals he has scored and his loyalty to the club I would call him Leicester’s greatest ever player yes!
