International Foxes!
A total of six Leicester City players were involved in international football but there was steps taken closer to European Championship qualification on Saturday night for three Leicester City Players.
Andrej Kramarić and Tom Lawrence were both named among the substitutes for Croatia and Wales. Kramarić replaced Olic with just over 20 minutes to play. Croatia beat Noway 5-1. Tom Lawrence was unused the Wales 3-0 win over Isreal. Andy King also didnt feature due to suspension.
Leicester City captain Wes Morgan featured for Jamaica in their 2-1 win over Venezuela. Morgan played a whole 90mins for his national side. Jeffery Schlupp was named as a substitute for Ghana’s 2-1 defeat against Senagal. Schlupp came on just 20 minutes into the second half but failed to stop his side from slipping to defeat.
Dipping into Youth international football now, Leicester City had 2 young players in action. Ben Ch ilwell was an unused substitute for England Under 19’s, who scored a 1-0 victory over Azerbaijan meaning they just need to be France on Tuesday to book their place in the European Finals.
Tomas Dombrauskis started and played the full 90 minutes for Lithuania’s Under-19s in a 6-0 defeat to Russia.
