Is Gray gone?!

Leicester City’s young prospect Demarai Gray has agreed to leave Leicester on ‘Personal Terms’ with German Side Bayer Leverkusen, according to Sky Sports.

The 24 year old has fallen down the pecking order since Brendan Rodger’s joined the club 2 years ago, and has reportedly turned away a new contract at Leicester due to not playing enough matches and not getting regular football at the club…

Gray is out of contract at the end of this season, meaning he will be a free transfer, but Leicester are looking to find a bit of ‘pocket money’ for him rather than letting him go for free.

The Bundesliga side have reportedly made an offer for for the winger, agreeing a deal with the Foxes. He has made 2 first team appearances this season and was left out of the squad for City’s FA Cup fourth round v Brentford, despite Rodgers making multiple changes to the squad.

Over the years multiple clubs have come in for Gray and tried to buy him after seeing his potential and the game time at Leicester, like Crystal Palace who reportedly wanted to sign him for around £12-18 Million, but now Leverkusen are reportedly only offering 3 Million Euros at maximum price…
But after a few season’s at Leicester, and each season him getting less and less game time, his contract has worn down and he never really became the player we all thought and know he can be…

If and when he goes to the German side, we wish him all the best, and hope we can see him again in the future as a brilliant player!
