Ndidi, a player who has been regularly starting for Leicester City since the signing of the Nigerian international in 2017, has undergone a knee surgery and will be out for ‘3/4 weeks’ according to to sources.

Last night we saw Leicester draw 1-1 to Aston Villa in the League cup first leg. Many fan said that he was missed and a ‘gap’ was left in the midfield which didnt help us at all.

Lucky for Leicester we have Hamza, a player with very similar qualities as Ndidi. However, Hamza didn’t make an appearance in the game until half time, to which Rodgers admited that a player like that was missing in the game and it was a mistake not to have Hamza on from the start.

We asked the fans what their thoughts on the absence of Ndidi and we got some mixed responses.

Here are some of the comments:

John Bird: ‘ He was missed last night. ‘

Steven Newcombe: ‘ Hamza will step up. Get well soon Wilf. ‘

Luke Carr: ‘ Balls… that’s a HUGE miss. After Vardy, the most crucial player in starting XI to my mind.
Great shot for Hamza to get a run and show he can slot in long-term to first team ‘

Martin Lane: ‘ he general is injured and boy was it evident last night. ‘

John Jobby Jones: ‘ Top man big miss all the best Wilf lad ‘
