Foxes Famine! By Simon Mack !
With the country on lockdown (and the family driving you crackers!?) apart from the brave few who are keeping us healthy and in supplies during this time the rest of us have more time on our hands. For many of us the stresses and strains of our busy lives are forgotten for a couple of hours when we watch our Leicester City. It might be live at King Power Stadium or on the TV but no matter for a precious while our focus is the boys on the pitch with a fox on their chest. I guess we all have our minds on our families no matter where in the world they are but every once in a while a chance to escape from it all is good for all of us. With this in mind I’ve had a dig around the net to find a few games you can watch in full and escape from all that is going on around us just for a while.
We might be in a ‘Foxes Famine’ at the moment but don’t panic! Why not enjoy these games one more time whilst we wait for the football to resume on the pitch. If you’ve got a smart tv with You Tube app and a web browser you can watch them in all their glory on the big screen too!

Foxes 0 Spurs 2
FA Cup 3rd Round Reply action under the lights at King Power Stadium at Claudio Ranieri’s men take on spurs. OK not the best result but it doesn’t always go our way and don’t you also miss shouting at the telly?!?

Foxes 2 Atlanta 1
The first home football of the 19/20 season was a pre-season victory against Italian surprise package Atlanta. The Lombardy region of Italy is having a tough time right now but this was an entertaining pre-season evening and is well worth another watch.

Blues 2 Foxes 1
From the days of 4:3 tv screens and only 3 subs on the bench this blast from the past comes complete with all the nostalgia of a dodgy video tape and that famous old Fosse black kit with blue sash. James Scowcroft bags the goal for the foxes and it’s a great chance to catch a glimpse of city legend Muzzy Izzet.
You can find other full matches around the web from less ‘official’ sources (and some with more positive outcomes!!) but either way enjoy, and take care of your family and friends. See if you can hijack the living room 50” telly for just a couple of hours and get your foxes ‘fix’, you won’t regret it!
Here’s to seeing you all at King Power Stadium soon and cheering on the foxes together again soon.
1996 First Division Play off final
Leicester City v Crystal Palace
One of the all time top 10 matches probably for many fans in recent history, well if you call 1996 recent history as it is now some 20+ years ago. Anyway, the key elements of this match between Leicester City and Crystal Palace all happen very very late on in the game.
Kevin Poole had as ever had another great goal between the sticks for Leicester, but he suffered from shall we say height issues. So with a penalty shoot out looming, as we entered the final seconds of extra time, Martin O’Neil made a shock decision to make a goalkeeper substitution and Spider Kalac came leaping onto the pitch to replace Poole. While this was all happening to a stunned Wembley, the action suddenly turned to the Palace 18 yard box, and shall we say Steve Claridge’s Shin then becomes one of the most famous moments in Foxes Folk Law…
