Foxes back into top half! Match Report by Matt Ballard
Leicester City comfortably get another Home-Win under their belt as they sunk 2 goals past The Bees!
Leicester are finally back into the top half on the premier league after two world class goals from James Maddison and the returning Timothy Castangne- making his first start in 2022.
The Belgian hit a curling effort into the top corner after some good work from Harvey Barnes gave the Foxes a lead they deserved after bringing in top at the start of the game. that doesn’t mean Brentford were without chances with our great Dane in goal coming up with a stop to deny Jenssen on a Bee’s breakaway.
Just after the half hour mark City got a freekick about 25 yards out step-up James Maddison leaving the keeper beaten all ends up the second of two absolute world class strikes. It could have been three in the second half, but Kelechi put it just past the post, which would have helped avoid any late squeaky bum time after Wissa screamed the ball past Kasper in net to set up the last five minutes, but the foxes prevailed and their rich vein of form continues.
After the Match the gaffer said that whilst all the defenders are returning, he is worried that Leicester have lost Ndidi for the rest of the season with the Knee injury he picked up in France on Thursday, but also said he was very proud of his players today, with the team being in high spirits going into the international break.
The next game for Leicester is away at Old Trafford where you can expect a weakened squad with one eye on PSV at the king power on Thursday.
