First win at Arsenal since 1973! Match Report
Well, what a win that was! Yes it really happened, and it might seem a bit unreal, but that was our first win at Arsenal since 1973, 47 years it took us to come back home to Leicester with all three points! it was worth the wait!
Jamie Vardy came off the bench to get those three points in our first Premier League away win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. He was a 60th minute substitution after coming back from injury, and within the last 10 minutes of the match he headed in the 1st and only goal of the match assisted by Under, and with a great set up play created by Tielemans.
Early on, Lacazette’s flicked header got Arsenal a goal, but after closer looks it was ruled off for being offside, which was an early wake up call for the Foxes, and multiple saves from kasper kept us in the match up until the last minute!
That was Vardy’s 11th goal in 12 league meetings against Arsenal, putting us back up in 4th place on 12 points, one points behind current leaders Everton!
Arsenal are 10th with 9 points, a slower start then they would have liked…
This is what Leicester Fan Tv’s Sam had to say on the match…
“It was overall a good match for us, we waited to create our chances, and we took it in the last minute! We set up to play counter attacking football, and we looked decent, but let Arsenal attack us for the first 60 minutes, but when Vardy and Under came on to change the shape of the team, we played our own game, and it lead to taking all three point back home to the King Power!”
