First loss in Europa League…
Last night we travelled to Ukraine to play Zorya in our penultimate in the Europa League Group Stage, hoping to pick up all 3 points that would’ve made us win the group…
BUT, it was not meant to be…
We went there resting Vardy, Tielemans & Kasper who all stayed at home to get some fitness and rest ready for this Sunday’s match against Sheffield United.
With this we thought that the squad we took was solid enough to get all three points, but after we saw last night’s performance it was not meant to be.
Zorya got a goal in the final 10 minutes of the match, which was enough to secure all three points.
Zorya went into that match sitting in joint bottom place of the group, looking to try and move up the table.
What went wrong last night? Did the squad not turn up?
This is what Leicester Fan Tv’s Sam had to say..
“Last night’s performance was poor, and i am very surprised. There was a handful of players in that squad that are looking to edge into 1st team football, but it didn’t look like they wanted to! Only Under look to be a threat up front, Nacho and Barnes didn’t offer much throughout the match, and it was an overall below average performance…
It was good to see the lads back in action, Ricky P and Ndidi, but Cags was clearly rushed back and we are all hoping his injury is not too bad and he comes back soon.”
this is what you, the fans, had to say about last nights disappointing performance…

Fofana at fault for the goal. Missed a tackle and too far forward then his striker taps in with him out the picture. Hopefully will learn from these errors
Chris Gutteridge
We knew the squad wasnt big enough or strong enough going into the season, this was always going to happen sooner or latet
Craig Hendry
Do any of you think vardy would love to play with another striker up front, him alongside a Heskey type would be fantastic
Thought Ricardo didn’t look too committed to challenges, hope he’s not come back too early.
Anthony Beeby
Coming 2nd in the group we could end up playing one of the Champions League teams
Simon May
Crap performance again. I know it’s not a important game but ffs give it a go at least.
Karl Beck
Barnes does nothing unless vardy plays. He starting to remind me of Heskey, misses too many chances and don’t use his height pace and power which he as enough. The amount of chances he gets through the season he should be looking at 20+ a season but he is Happy standing on the sideline
David Bull
Further proof tonight that Iheanacho has been (and still is) a massive waste of money, as is his mate Perez on the bench. I really rate Fofana, but he has missed two glorious chances in these last two defeats, both at crucial times
Alan Jones
We look nonchalant.. Believing our own hype. Teams work us out far too easily. Sloppy passing and poor decision making…. Warning bells should be ringing.
Matty Nicoll
Honestly I’ve seen better Sunday league teams. Barnes needs to get to the gym and quick and also needs to take some lessons in getting back and defending. Really not liking him atm and where are we gonna score a goal from
Gary Wright
I will hafter say i think theres more chance of me scoring than natcho we need a couple of forwards in harvey poor again hamza poor another goal from poor defending on right side
Chris Hallam
Can i have 2 hours of my life back. So many players out of form and off the pace
Matt Gill
one of the worst performances i’ve seen in years…. may as well of thrown the match and not turned up… we look ten times worst than the team we were 12 months ago… we played quick attractive football then… this is as bad as the puel era
Frankie Wightman
This is embarrassing. Iheanacho really is stealing a wage no work rate whatsoever. Fofana seems to have completely lost the plot. You need to play either Maddison or Tielemans to have some sort of creativity up front. Really is a shambles at the minute
