Spurs scored 3 times in the final 15 minutes of the match after being behind from 2 penalties scored by Vardy and when the 90 minutes was done, they beat us, denying us a place in the UEFA Champions League…. AGAIN!

With Spurs’ late turn around, they secured a 7th place finish and a spot on the Europa League Conference League, whilst the defeat to us left us 1 point out of the top 4, getting Europa League and not Champions League.

We opened the scoring in the 18th minute from the spot as Vardy tucked away a goal past Lloris

But before the break, Spurs came back with a good volley from Kane to earn his 3rd golden boot award, finishing one goal ahead of Salah at Liverpool.

Vardy put us back in fron 7 minutes into the second half, netting his second penalty after being fouled by Sanchez.

However, Spurs got a 76th minute equaliser as Schmeichel punched Son Heung-min’s corner into his own net, and the north Londoners went onto win.

Substitute Bale stroked in from Kane’s pass in the 87th minute, with Kane securing the playmaker award for most assists in the Premier League as well as the golden boot, before Bale tapped in his second goal in stoppage time.

Leicester end the season in fifth on 66 points, four points ahead of Spurs.

This is what Leicester Fan Tv’s Sam had to say about the final match of the season…
“It was out of our hands before the match, with 15 minutes to go it was on us, and we blew it again. You have to look at this season with both perspectives, whilst it has been a good season, winning the FA Cup and making Europa League again, we have also given away Champions League football again. Regardless of what you say, we did chuck it away, and you can say ‘we should have beaten Southampton and Newcastle teams’ and yes we should have, but yesterday it was back in our hands to get UCL and all we had to do was hold on for 15 minutes, but once again we gave it away. I don’t like hearing ‘if you got offered this at the start of the season’ stuff, because it was never have a top 4 place or FA Cup win, we could have had both, should have had both”

What do you think to the season? Did we throw it away in the end? Watch the highlights from last night’s match…
