Fans Player Focus – Okazaki!
The 34 year old Japanese player came from Mainz with an impressive record, and his passion and energy helped us win the Premier League!
He did not score many goals for us, but he was an incredible player, helping set up goals with his slight touches and clean passes, an unforgettable player who was always a fan favourite!
We asked you, the fans, about your best memories and moments of him in a Leicester Top…!
Jane N Steve Lay
Absolutely loved his passion and desire every time he walked on the pitch.
Ricky Blampied
Another player that was wasted and forced to leave because of Puel, i loved the energy he brings on the pitch.
Rococo Spencer
Bit like Leo not the most gifted player but always tried his best and ill always be grateful for that
Tom Richards
Haven’t thought about Shinji in a while but seeing his face just now reminded me how much he put a smile on my face during his time at the club. I’m not sure any other Leicester player has for the same reasons.
Obviously there have been some great players at our club, but I think Shinji is my favourite.
Anne Timson
He always played with a smile and gave 100%. The goal against Newcastle, the overhead kick sticks in my mind.
Janice Boulter
Best moments where every time he walked onto the pitch loved watching him
Barry Robinson
Should still be part of the squad as far as I’m concerned
Loved him
Claire Rowe
Bicycle kick in 1-0 at home against Newcastle. Fab!
Michael Gray
Played with his heart on his sleeve
Always tried to make things happen
Shaun Beck
You always knew he would give 110 % and on many occasions changed the game
Ryan Kenure
The look on the defenders face when vardy had run them ragged for 60 minutes only to look to the sidelines as shinji came on to do it harder for the remainder
Mark Unwin
And after the game always came over to see the kids waiting next to the carpark
We all remember this goal he scored against Newcastle, he didn’t score many, but when he did…well… His reaction says it all!!!
