Nugent came to us from Portsmouth back in 2011, and he was on a decent goal to games there, playing 78 games and scoring 16 goals.

When Leicester signed him, he seemed like a decent player, and within his 4 years at the club… He was an amazing player for us!
in his 159 appearance’s for us, he scored a total of 54 goals. And his last five goals he ever scored for us was in that infamous 1st Premier League season!
We all remember that one game he played for England seniors… And his goal he scored for them! Should’ve he played more games than that 1 shot he got? He did take that chance and scored with it, so maybe he should’ve made more appearances for England?!

A lot of fans loved him, and he played with passion, heart and put 110% in each week in a Leicester kit… Because he loved this club… And we loved him!

This is what you, the fans, had to say about Nugent and his time at Leicester!

Anne Timson
Loved Nugent. Always played with a smile on his face. Wasn’t sure when we first bought him but once he was settled he proved his worth. He wasn’t given a chance under Claudio despite being top scorer the previous season. Was gutted when we sold him he would have happily stayed.

Ben Fountain
What a player , great touch, instinctive goal scorer, one of the main reasons we hit promoted and stayed up season after .. top bloke as well!

Paul Johnson
When he was a sub for Derby when we played them in the cup. I’ve not known a former player get a reception like it, especially playing for them…. gentleman

Frankie Wightman
Top class bloke off the field, had time for fans. Unfortunately he just did not have the quality for the Premier League. Him and Vardy was a good partnership in the championship.

Scott Ryan
The Burnley goal it’s good from Nugent it’s superb

Kevin Wright
Loved nug always played with a smile

Jonathan Wade
Chasing the squirrel 😂 and always playing with a smile on his face. Great servant to the club.

Christina Cooke
Always liked to pose on the pitch before the games started had a lovely smile

Tom Causer
QPR away on route to winning championship

Anthony Coppersthwaite
Legend! Got us out of the championship one of my favourite players!

Mark Woolridge
Ipswich! Never failed to score and they hated him

Watch some of his highlights at Leicester, and his skills that helped us go up to the Premier League and turned us into the 5000/1 side that won the league!!
