Christian Eriksen to Leicester!?

One of the latest rumours to appear is that Leicester are interested in former Tottenham Hotspurs and Inter Milan player Christian Eriksen… Would you like to see Eriksen in a Leicester City shirt next season?!

Here are some facts and stats about him, is he good enough for us!?

He is currently 30 years old playing in the middle of the park for Brentford after coming back into Premier League action after Inter Milan let him go last year after only playing 1 season in the Italian league.

At Spurs he made 226 appearances in the league, scoring 51 goals and creating 66 assists as well, a G+A ratio in every 1/2 games creating or scoring a goal, which was very good stats, but is he past his prime now?

For Inter Milan he 43 times in the league, scoring 4 goals and getting 2 assists, which isn’t amazing compared to his time at Spurs, but he still has a lot to offer.

At brentford he has played 9 times in the league, scoring 1 goal and getting 4 assists, which shows his quality is here in the Premier League!

“He was a great player and clearly has shown his talent back in the Premier League with creating goals for Brentford in such a short time played, but with that said i think he is past his prime and not the kind of punt we should go for. He has been a solid player for Spurs but if we really want to move forward we should invest in more consistent quality. Don’t get me wrong Eriksen on his day is a great player so it’s hard to say if he would do well in this Leicester side, but will he even want to join us?!” – Sam

“Eriksen is a player that i think could potentially work at Leicester City, but do I think he is right for now? No.
He have had a few summer transfers with some decent players coming in, but we have also had a few ‘flops’ along the way too… And i don’t think Eriksen will come to Leicester and stand out from what we already have.
For me, Eriksen hasn’t had much game time, and hasn’t stood out massively for Brentford. I believe there are different, younger prospects out there that could be better suited for Leicester City.
If the price was right, and we needed someone to come in and fill Youri’s boots (assuming he will leave this summer) i would go for it, but not before we had a look around at other players first.” – Jake

“I Wouldn’t like to see Eriksen come to Leicester, don’t get me wrong, he is a very good player and has been through his career but I prefer to bring in someone younger and that can bring better quality to the team…He is 30 years old and i really think its a risk to bring him on board when there’s many other players that will improve the squad.
Id much prefer someone like James Ward Prowse as he brings a lot more assets to the squad, from set pieces to passing quality. and at 27 years old, he has a few more years with him being in his “prime” years still!” – Reedy
