Chilwell To Chelsea?
Local lad Ben Chilwell has been linked to a move to London as The Blues (Chelsea) seem to be looking to make a rumoured 60 million pound bid in for the England left back.
Chilwell has been a regular starter for the Foxes for a while now, but has been in a rut for the past few games. However, let’s not forget the amount of fantastic performances the lad has put in considering his age and experience.
We asked the fans what they thought about the move for Chilwell to Chelsea, and here is what YOU, the fans have had to say…
Anthony Inchley: ‘ Hes had, by his own standards, a poor couple of games. Form is temporary, class is permanent. No way we should even consider selling the lad. ‘
Maxine Johnson: ‘ We have to cease being a feeder club .Now we build for the future.Hes a Leicester lad .So much expectation all the time I am sure he will come through . ‘
Jackie Jones: ‘ I would keep him. He’s had a couple of bad games against top opposition and may be a good idea to rest him for a couple of games but same old Leicester fans…criticise a player when they are not playing well. Haven’t we all ” had a bad day at the office” ? Give encouragement ‘
T.J Chapman: ‘ Keep him. His head has been turned by Chelsea I think, but once the window closes he’ll come back to form. If he then goes for that kind of money in the summer, fair enough. ‘
Ed Roulston: ‘ Only sell if we use the money on another quality player such as Jack Grealish ‘
Leo Dobson: ‘ Don’t understand why anybody would want to sell Chilwell. He’s very good and still young. Doing very well so far. His first touch is very good. ‘
Tom Cox: ‘ Il happily drive him to Stamford Bridge. Take the money and run. Very overrated, just cause he is English. ‘
Kevin Robinson: ‘ We won’t sell in January! unless we have a back up already lined up, as much as I love Fuchs just don’t think he can play week in week out until the end of the season ‘
Alan Wood: ‘ Take it, he may be a left back but he’s no wing back. Cannot cross at all. Vardy would have another 6 or 7 if Fuchs was playing every week whipping the ball in. ‘
Paul Jagger: ‘ No way should be looking to sell him. He is a long term strong asset to this team ‘
Michael Porter: ‘ Ridiculous, he’s England’s best left back. 23? Years of age. Got a brilliant future with us. Need to stick with him. People slated Iheanacho now look at him. Don’t give up on our players. I’m not ‘
Byron Cook: ‘ Keep him and rest him, do not mock him as a player he knows hes hit a bad spot. last thing he needs is leicester fans saying get rid. ‘
Steve Partridge: ‘ Take the money, unfortunately since Mahrez ripped him to bits he has not looked the same player’
Darren Horner: ‘ He’s only 23.. He’s still learning. He will come through this tough period a better player. ‘
Steve Jones: ‘ Yes, but only If we have a replacement lined up ‘
