Luton Town vs Leicester City

Tuesday 24th September 2019

Kenilworth Road 19:45

The foxes are likely to give more of their squad some game time tonight as they travel down to take on newly promoted Luton Town in the Carabao Cup 3rd round.

Demari Gray, James Justin, back up keeper Danny Ward, Wes Morgan, Christian Fuchs and Marc Albrighton could all feature for the visitors on the back of their 2-1 home Premier League victory against spurs at the weekend.

Dennis Praet also impressed against Tottenham in a cameo from the bench and could feature too along with striker Kelechi Inheanacho and midfielder Papy Mendy who has found opportunities sparse with the superb form of Wilfred Ndidi and Hamza Choudhury keeping him out of the first eleven.

Inheanacho has not featured in the match squad at all of late and he’ll be desperate for a chance to impress Manager Brendan Rodgers and force his way back into the Premier League reckoning.

For Luton the match marks their most significant competitive competition to date having defeated Ipswich and Cardiff to reach the 3rd round.

The foxes James Justin was signed from Luton in the summer, and the match could mark an early return to his old club.

‘The Hatters’ face Hull City, Leicester City and then Blackburn Rovers in the space of a week, so this cup tie is sandwiched between some crucial league match up for the hosts.

City’s James Maddison is unlikely to feature after picking up an ankle knock just after scoring his sensational winning goal against spurs last time out.

Leicester Predicted team:

Ward, Justin, Fuchs, Morgan, Evans, Mendy, Gray, Tielemans, Praet, Albrighton, Perez

Luton predicted team:

Shea, Galloway, Pearson, Bradley, Sheehan, Mpanzu, Tunnicliffe, Butterfield, Moncur, Cornick, Collins
