Liverpool Vs Leicester City Preview

The FA Cup fourth round had very differing fortunes for the two sides. The Reds booked their spot in the fifth round with a comfortable 3-1 win over Cardiff City. Whilst Brendan Rodgers’ men went crashing out in humiliating fashion losing 4-1 to Championship side Nottingham Forest.

However, Leicester have won the last two league encounters against Liverpool and lost on penalties after a 3-3 draw in the League Cup earlier this season. This will give the Foxes confidence going into the important fixture. Both sides need the three points but for different reasons.

Leicester sit in 10^th after a disappointing season. They look like they may miss out on European football for the first time since 2018/19. Whilst for Liverpool, they are nine points off Man City with a game in hand, so are very much still in the title race.
