Fans could argue there was some signs of improvement, but let’s be honest… it looked like a Brendan Rodgers starting XI… it was a BR formation, with Madders stuck out on the wing, and playing two CDM in Mendy and Ndidi…. We played out from the back again, like BR has stuck with, and again and again we got caught out. Madders had 30 touches stuck out on the wing… Luiz in the centre of Villa’s midfield had over 90 touches. KDH lost his head, sure he has apologised, but he let himself down as he was about to be subbed… And then we have Ndidi, who really should know better, down to 10 men and close to a valuable point, try’s again to play out from the back… just launch it man. The formations, tactics, players were ALL the same as Brendan Rodgers would have done, well probably cos Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell have just spent 4 years working with him… has anything changed by sacking Rodgers ? Too many players are either in a slump, aren’t good enough at all, have gotten worse or given up completely. There really needs to be a revamping of our team and backroom staff for sure Rob Roberts unfortunately last night they had an opportunity in the dugout to consider replacing KDH on a yellow card, spent 10-12 minutes discussing the weather, he gets sent off putting us under more pressure which led to Wilfs mistake, I honestly don’t think we are capable of getting out of this mess. The Board, Rudkin & Top should have ended Rodgers contract last year and reappointed then Robert Holmes Not if they play Mendy and Ndidi together (Mendy for me), and not if they leave Ricardo out of the team.
