Leicester vs Arsenal Preview

This weekend, the blues host Arsenal, who come into this game 8 unbeaten. On the back of 4 wins in all competitions and an excellence turn around in form with a 2-1 win at Brentford last weekend,, how will the Foxes fare against the Gunners.

Leicester look to continue their good form, but know that Arteta’s side won’t be a pushover, with star man Aubameyang in amongst the goals in his last 3 starts.

ONES TO WATCH

  • Daka vs Ben White
  • Tielemans vs Partey
  • Smith-Rowe vs Castagne

TEAM NEWS

Kieran Tierney, Pablo Mari, Ben White and Martin Odegaard are all expected to return after minor injuries/issues last week. with the only other players set to miss out being the long term injured Granit Xhaxa.

Leicester head into the game with doubts of new injury worries with the likelihood that Jamie Vardy may be out. Again Justin, Fofana, Evans and Ndidi and Albrighton remaining out injured for the long term and are expected back within the coming month or so.

HEAD-TO-HEAD STATISTICS

In our last game against Arenal, we came away with a 3-1 loss. Let’s take a deeper look at some interesting statistics from our previous encounters:

  • In the last 5 encounters, there have been 2 Leicester wins compared to Arenal’s two, with the honours being shared just once.
  • Our last goal scorer against Arsenal was Youri Tielemans, who has scored in each of his last 2 Premier League games.

Personally, I can see this game being Leicester 2-1 Arsenal.  I think Leicester have found their rhythm again now, but I think this will only carry on as the team grows in confidence. With the likes of Aubameyang and Smith-Rowe likely to start against a good Leicester team, I believe this will be a good win for Leicester in a challenging fixture. In addition, I think Daka has shown promise recently as with the main man looking set to start it is definitely a massive confident boost that Leicester can find the back of the net and I think it will be enough to ensure the three points.
