Back-to-Back wins! Leicester 4-2 Burnley!
It’s all over! Our first match at the King Power this season was against Burnley, who came into the match playing their first match of the season after just beating Sheffield United in the cup!
A lot of fans where optimistic going into this match after a slow start but a solid finish against West Brom in our 3-0 victory, and we all wanted that form to carry on into the Burnley match!
And so it did! We looked overall solid, with everyone playing good, but a handful of players making the key difference in this match!
Barnes, Castagne, Praet, Tielemans, where all key players in our home win, could have we done much better?
We looked shaky at times at the back, letting in 2 fairly sloppy goals, both considered to be mistakes caused by JJ, but then again he is not playing in his regular Right Back position…
Match summary
Leicester City came from behind to beat Burnley 4-2 and record Brendan Rodgers’ 100th Premier League victory as a manager.
Chris Wood scored for a fourth consecutive PL match to give Burnley the lead before Harvey Barnes swept Timothy Castagne’s pass past Nick Pope to equalise on 20 minutes.
Castagne was involved again as the Foxes took the lead, with Erik Pieters turning the Belgian’s cross past Pope for an own goal five minutes after half-time.
Fellow full-back James Justin then doubled the hosts’ lead with his first top-flight goal but the deficit was quickly restored to one by Jimmy Dunne, who marked his Premier League debut with a goal of his own on 73 minutes.
Dennis Praet ensured Leicester would make it back to back victories at the start of the season with an arrowed strike from 18 yards 11 minutes from time.
