Are we messing up the transfer window… AGAIN?!

So, once again for the second time we have got Europa League football, and we are all hoping we do not make the same mistake as the first time around…

In the title winning season, a bonus was getting Champions League football, but we did NOT capitalize on that, we didn’t bring any big names into the team to help out depth, or to help us in general, and we saw that when we where fighting down near the bottom half of the table…

After such a good start to this season, to finishing 5th place, it really did show that we need some rotation players in… But that is not going to happen if we don’t spend any money!
Chelsea have gone out and bought over £100 Million in players already, and one of those players being Leicester’s Chilwell… So why are we not signing anyone?!?!

We asked the fans these questions and this is what you all had to say… it is not looking promising guys…

I’m worried for the club we haven’t signed a player I can’t see us doing any better than last season we’ve got European football which is a good seller how we haven’t signed any players is poor I’m saying 8th next season and no cup runs for me WE NEED TO SPEND BIG

Jonathan Smith
Awful, just shows where the club wants to go. If anyone thinks our squad is even good enough for the top 10 after the last half of last season you are deluded

Stephen Digger Rowe
The club as had no income for a while. Still got a few players to get rid of before we go mad spending Although I think we need a few more players no need to panic at the minute

Sanjay Trivedi
To be honest I think we just have to trust our owners. We had no financial clout prior to their arrival- since then we have finished 1st and 5th in premier league- Amazing.
No king power revenues
New training centre
No point buying someone who won’t make the first team ( unless we are looking to get cheap and develop)
Vardy and Madders have signed new contracts.
We have only lost Chilwell and Thomas did a much better job.
We feared the worse when we sold Harry and Caglar stepped up.
Hopefully we will make a signing or two – but if not let’s not main about the owners as they are the best thing that has ever happened to the club.

We are no way near as big or as rich as Chelsea. They can spend £50m on a player easily and pay them 50 – 100% more than we can. We don’t operate in the same market as them, yet.

T.J. Chapman
The new season starts 3 weeks before the transfer window closes. It’s not ideal that we haven’t signed anyone yet, but we can only judge after the window closes.

Kevin Meats
Bit of a strange comparison. No one expects us to match the spending of Chelsea. Also, they probably have some extra spending due to not being able to spend anything last year.

Leicester Fan TV
Getting worried. Spent nothing in January. Spent nothing so far with 2 weeks left

Karl Burrows
It’ll all work out. Its actually good debating on reaching top 4 in prem league, instead of teetering in the bottom half, battling relegation. Makes me proud to follow city, this is what we could only dream about in the past, love my city.

Lee-Marie Springthorpe
We can’t compete with the likes of Chelsea 200mill spent, but we can buy solid hardworking players from the lower leagues we’ve done it before and reaped the benefits, we need the players and a plan b.

Larry Woodward
Hardly a fair comparison. The club is still hamstrung because of the duds in previous windows still on the books. FFP is still active even if it doesn’t seem to apply to Man City and Chelsea.

David Lester
Plenty of time. I have confidence we will get 2 or 3 great value for money players who we actually need.

Robert Holmes
Same every year, people panicking, too much grumbling in the ranks.

Jane N Steve Lay
We’ve already proved it’s not what you spend that counts. It’s attitude and heart from all the team.
