A Point vs Burnley… Match Report
Vardy recovered from scoring an early own goal to score twice and earn us a 2-2 draw against a winless Burnley this season.
He flicked Westwood’s corner past team mate Schmeichel to give the visitors the lead after 12 minutes
He redeemed himself on the 37 minute, latching onto Tielemans through-ball and finding the bottom left corner
But Burnley restored their advantage 5 minutes before half time through Cornet’s first PL league goal.
the Ivorian volleyed Vydra’s cross spectacularly past Kasper but was forced off shortly after through injury.
The second half continued in a similar end to end fashion and vards eventually squeezed the ball in from a tight angle to level for a second time with 5 minutes to play.
There was still time for late drama as Chris Wood headed in from close range, only for his effort to be overturned following a VAR review.
Leicester sit 12th with seven points, while Burnley stay 19th on two points.
This is what Leicester Fan Tv’s Sam had to say about the match at the weekend…
“It’s again not a great performance, we’ve been outplayed and figured out time and time again, we need to put a shift in or we’re going to go backwards than forwards. this season we needed to put in a big shift, but we’ve started the season slowly and we need to start getting more points. a draw at home to a struggling Burnley side is not the best way to start this, so let’s get some more wins under our belt!”
