A New Player Is On His Way To Leicester!

After Fofana horrible injury, seeing out for a bare minimum of 6 months, potentially returning at the beginning of 2022, we are in desperate need of a centre back, and it looks like we will be signing one within the next few days, if not today!

So, who is this player?! Well, it’s another player from Southampton, and if you haven’t heard already we are close to signing Danish Centre-Back Jannik Vestergaard! What do you know about him? Well, come and read more down below about his career!

Vestergaard is a Danish defender who is 29 years old, he has a good connection with Bertrand as they played multiple seasons together at Southampton, and he also has a good connection with Kasper as they play together in the international Danish side… So he sounds like a perfect fit for us!

since 2018 he has made 72 appearances for Southampton, scoring 4 goals, which is decent for a defender, hopefully we can see Bertrand swing some corners and free kicks onto Jannik’s head!

“We need a quality, experienced defender that can come into the squad tomorrow and perform his socks off, and that’s what we need at the moment. With Fofana out injured for a while, we need a new CB to come in and slot nicely into the team, so playing alongside Bertrand and Kasper is a massive bonus and will ease him into the team a lot quicker!”
